The UV nail lamp

The UV nail lamp is a device for quickly drying gel or semi-permanent nail polishes . Thanks to this technology, gone are the days when you had to wait several minutes or even hours for the layers of varnish to dry completely.

How a UV nail lamp works

Simply place your nails under the light emitted by the lamp so that it causes a photochemical reaction which allows the varnish to harden and adhere perfectly to the nail.

The exposure time varies depending on the power of the lamp and the type of varnish used (generally between 10 and 60 seconds).

Applying false nails and extensions

If you have short or fragile nails, you can opt for false nails or extensions to achieve a longer, more sophisticated effect. The most commonly used materials are:

  1. False nails made of plastic or resin
  2. Tips, which are glued to part of the natural nail then covered with gel or acrylic resin
  3. Templates, which are adhesive shapes placed under the nail to create a custom sculpted extension

To successfully install false nails or extensions, remember to have a good glue specially designed for this use. Poor glue quality can lead to problems such as:

  • Premature detachment of false nails or extensions
  • Skin irritations due to aggressive chemical composition
  • Damage to the natural nail when removing false nails or extensions

The use of a nail file is also recommended to adjust the size and shape of false nails or extensions after installation.

Nail hardener: strengthen and protect your nails

Brittle, soft or split nails are often the result of a lack of keratin and vitamins. To remedy this, nail hardener is a practical and effective solution. This product helps strengthen weakened nails , protect them from external aggressions and restore shine and shine.

The different types of nail hardeners

Depending on the needs of your nails, you can opt for:

  • The classic hardener : applied as a base coat before nail polish, it contains strengthening ingredients which help consolidate the nail;
  • The intensive hardener : used in a course of several weeks, this concentrated treatment treats in depth the problems of fragile nails;
  • The color hardener : more fun, this product combines the benefits of a classic hardener with a pretty shade.
